when trying to run the install.php script i get the following error

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/sitename/domains/sitename.nl/public_html/News/inc/admin_tooltips.php on line 8

I installed a db via phpmyadmin, put the info in the config.php, chmod 777, but this error keeps coming back, unfortunately.
Anyone with a hint ?

Thanks.

Gerard

did you upload this file completly to the server? this error doesnt really make sense at this given line. so maybe this file is corrupted.

Thanks Ascar, I have uploaded the file(s) again and I was able to run the install.
However. When i access admin.php the only thing I see is
ID - JobBegin - Sent eMails - Progress - Elapsed Time - Remaining Time.
It looks i'm missing some essential information to create and send newsletters. Do I have to chmod more files?

The subscription however works perfectly. Nice, small and smooth script.

Thanks(again)

seems to me that more files werent uploaded corretly with your ftp client.
normally (and as you can see on the screenshots) you have a icon menu on the top with links like "newsletter" and so on.

so make sure to check again if all files (images...) were uploaded correctly.

I just wanted to say - that this was exactly the problem I've been having for the last couple of months. With a few changes & attempts made based on your instructions- I finally got it working. Thanks
